All the products I design have a story behind them. Some longer than others and some more important. That goes also with client work. I think there should always be the story, the reason, the why before anything is designed, established or branded.
My stories come from who I am and how I see the world. I’m a curious person. I love to hear stories, listen music, watch movies, read, observe, find out about human behaviour. Life in general is so exciting, always evolving and especially always surprising. I’m fascinated by everyday life that keeps changing and all those precious moments I want to remember.
What makes me happy are the people around me. All those feelings, support, sharing, spending time with, kind (and not so kind) words said to each other. And from those words and stories comes most of my design too. As a tribute to all of those people I’m so honoured to have in my life, I made this And I love you print. It comes both in A3 sized art print and as a smaller greeting card.
It’s also a reminder of all that love there is to give and receive for us all. Sometimes we are just so busy that we forget it. And in the end, love is the only thing that really matters. In design and in life.
Learning new skills and developing and discovering yourself is mainly privately done hard work but sometimes it helps to find some spark and inspiration from someone else too. I have taken several different workshops and courses during this year and last one and I think those might inspire you too.
I always wish I had more time to DIY stuff and my Pinterest and notebooks are full of ideas I never have time to actually do. This time I decided to go for it and we ended up having so much fun with my daughter on this small but lovely project.
As I’m an entrepreneur with several companies and brands and I work in visual and creativity field, it’s sometimes hard to find the time and the mindset to do anything visual or artistic just for fun. I have found few ways to trick my mind to let go and just create.
And I love you
