Sometimes it feels like the end but is actually the beginning. You cannot expect new things to happen if you’re not willing to let some old ones to go.
We all face it from time to time. Change. It might come by surprise or it might be on purpose. Either way, you need to adapt to the new way of seeing things and acting upon them.
There are those moments when it just becomes inevitable to leave behind the narratives we have outgrown long ago. The longer you resist, the harder it is to do.
For me this is one of those moments and I bet I’m not the only one who’s leaving some things behind to start something new. If this resonates with you too, you’re welcome to seek the unknown with me. Welcome, let’s start the journey.
It’s the fifth of January and it feels like I’ve already done so much. I tried to avoid overplanning at the beginning of the year but it doesn’t take away the energy wave I’m currently riding on (and which keeps me awake at night too). In good and in bad.
We have a tendency to avoid the hard parts. To postpone the difficult task and to procrastinate the ones that make us uncomfortable. No need to be ashamed though, that’s only a very human thing to do. Eat the frog is a technique that helps you go over that.
When I was a kid, I used to bury myself on the sofa with a pile of books I had borrowed from the library. Some things seem not to change that much. We haven’t had a sofa for years (or TV either) but the pile of books is still essential part of my everyday life.
It started as a small DIY idea to do with my daughter and ended up being the quite accurate entry of the feelings right now. Kinda like Corona Diaries of this very moment.
